LeBron James And Cavaliers Fall To Kevin Garnett!
October 29, 2007
- Kevin Garnett made a statement against LeBron James and the defending Eastern Conference champions.
James, who led the Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference title last season, finished with 17 points in 35 minutes.
He played the entire first quarter, scoring nine points on 3-for-7 shooting, including a crowd-pleasing driving
scoop for his initial basket of the night.
After becoming one the game's elite players, James expects teams to play a little harder against him every time.
"That's been that way for a few years now," he said. "That's because of the type of player that I am. We're competitive
every night."

LeBron James And Cavaliers Have Targets On Their Backs!
October 24, 2007
- For the first time in NBA history, the Cleveland Cavaliers enter a season as the defending Eastern Conference champions. Superstar LeBron James and company enter the new campaign as the
hunted for the first time ever.
The Cavaliers are coming off their most successful campaign in franchise history. They won 50 games during the 2006-07 regular season, defeated Washington, New Jersey and Detroit in the playoffs
to capture the Eastern Conference crown and advanced to their first-ever NBA Finals.
Cleveland was swept in four games by the San Antonio Spurs in the finals, but the experience will only benefit the Cavaliers in the future. It took James four years to get the Cavaliers over the
hump and into the championship round.
James, who appeared in the postseason for the second time in his career last year, played in 78 games during the regular season. A three-time All-Star, James led the club in scoring (27.3 ppg), assists (6.0 apg) and also pulled down 6.7 rebounds per game. The 6-8 James is arguably the top player in the league and is the cornerstone of the franchise.

LeBron James Watches In Cavaliers' 62-81 Loss To Wizards!
October 10, 2007
- Superstar LeBron James scored only three points on 1-of-5 shooting and played just 15 minutes for the Cavs, who swept the Wizards 4-0 in the first round last April on their way to an
Eastern Conference title.
Before the game, James, who caused a stir last week when he showed up at an Indians playoff game wearing a New York Yankees cap, predicted Cleveland would win the ALCS against the Boston Red Sox.
The Indians eliminated the Yankees in the first round on Monday.
"I think Cleveland is going to win," he said. "Like I've said before, if there was going to be a team who beat the Yankees, I wanted it to be the Indians. I think Cleveland will do the same thing
it did in New York."

LeBron James Roots For Yankees Over Indians!
October 7, 2007
- LeBron James announced to millions during his recent appearance on "Saturday Night Live" his intention to root against his hometown Indians this week in the American League Division Series.
Man, he wasn't kidding.
In a move that provides quite the dilemma for Cleveland fans, James not only sported enemy gear to Thursday's Game 1 against the Yankees at Jacobs Field, but he even playfully taunted fans by doffing his Yankees cap and raising it in front of a camera during an interview with TBS.
James may be the city's biggest star who revived Cleveland basketball and brought the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals last season. But did he cross the line? Are some things best kept hidden?
"It's like [Indians ace] C.C. [Sabathia] walking out there with a Pistons hat," said Kevin Lowrie, 48, of Mentor. "Yeah, it's who he roots for, but does he have to brag about it like that? It's wrong."
"I think he should be traded for that," said 30-year-old Joe Dickinson, with a laugh. "Cheer in secret."
Even New York fans thought it was odd for the longtime Yankees fan to flaunt his team's colors in the town that idolizes him.
"I can't understand it," said Rob Fath, 19, of Yonkers, N.Y. "It's really pretty low of LeBron, to be honest. Why would he do that to his city?"
At least it offered the Yanks' faithful some needed humor -- and solace.
"That offers a lot of comfort," said Dave Molyneaux, a 42-year-old Yankees fan from Gainesville, Fla. "That's pretty stellar of him to wear that hat."
Yet in the end, the Indians and the sellout crowd of got the last laugh in a 12-3 victory. James eventually succumbed to the demands of nearby fans shouting for him to take off his hat. And as the Indians pulled away in the sixth inning, James summoned his entourage to the exits.
There is, of course, another side to this story. Some fans simply don't care.
